Ex-detainee Bayan Fir’aun has said that the Palestinian prisoners especially the women count on the resistance to wrest their freedom affirming that the resistance vowed to liberate them from Israeli jails.
In a statement on the occasion of the International Women’s Day Fir’aun described the incarceration conditions of the Palestinian female prisoners in Israeli jails as “painful” especially after the Israeli prison service recently closed their cells and curtailed prison visits by lawyers and families.
She affirmed that the female prisoners are exposed to great restrictions following the 2021 Gilboa jailbreak calling on human rights groups to pressure the occupation state in this regard and secure a large number of lawyers to visit the detainees and work on improving their detention conditions in Damon jail.
As the world marks the International Women’s Day there are still 32 Palestinian women being held under harsh conditions in the Israeli Damon jail.
