Head of Hamas political department abroad Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri appreciated on Monday the statements of the Algerian foreign minister Ramtane Lamamra regarding Palestinian reconciliation.
Abu Zuhri affirmed Hamas’s support for the Algerian role in overcoming the Palestinian division and confronting normalization with Israel in the region.
Lamamra whose country said last month that it would host the inter-Palestinian talks said in press statements that a process to reconcile the Palestinian factions has begun.
“The journey to Palestinian reconciliation has started and Algeria has a long experience in bringing the Palestinians together” he told a news conference in Kuwait on Monday.
