A Palestinian young man was critically injured on Monday morning when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at him at an intersection near the Etzion settlement bloc south of Bethlehem.
According to local sources Israeli soldiers opened fire at the young man on allegations of his attempt to stab an Israeli.
The young man was identified as 27-year-old Mohamed Kamal from Beit Fajjar town in southern Bethlehem.
Video footage circulated on the internet showed the young man lying on the ground and Israeli soldiers preventing a paramedic from approaching him.
Later he was reportedly taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital in west Jerusalem. There is still no information about his health condition.
