The Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila announced on Friday that 5 deaths 2311 new cases of the coronavirus and 1660 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
She said in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 4 deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip while one death was recorded in Nablus.
The new cases were recorded as follows: Qalqilia 60 Tulkarem 188 Salfit 67 Nablus 240 Tubas 42 Jenin 152 Ramallah and El-Bireh 130 Jericho and the Jordan Valley 13 Jerusalem suburbs 12 al-Khalil 34 Bethlehem 2 and Gaza Strip 1371 the minister underlined pointing out that 10382 Corona tests were conducted.
She added that the recovery cases were recorded as follows: Qalqilia 849 Tulkarem 217 Salfit 26 Nablus 217 Tubas 23 Jenin 128 Ramallah and El-Bireh 130 Jericho and the Jordan Valley 2 Jerusalem suburbs 11 al-Khalil 40 Bethlehem 59 and Gaza Strip 777.
She said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 90.9 percent while the rate of active infections reached 8.1 percent and the death rate was 1.0 percent of all infections.
Kaila pointed out that there are 70 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units while 170 others are treated in the West Bank’s COVID-19 sections in various hospitals including 10 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 1202045 including 496050 who received the two doses of the vaccine the minister concluded.
