IOF paves settlement road settlers steal lands in Nablus

Friday 9-July-2021

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday repaved a settlement road from Hawara refugee camp south of Nablus to Rojib village to the east while settlers seized 20 dunums of Jalud village lands in southern Nablus.

Ghassan Daghlas an official monitoring the settlement activity in the northern West Bank stated that IOF used bulldozers to reconstruct a settlement road which they seized from the lands of Palestinian citizens near Hawara refugee camp to Rojib village with a length of about 2.5 km.

Daghlas added that the road reaches an area called Khalat Al-Abhar in the eastern region of Rojib.

He explained that IOF delivered notices two weeks ago on the demolition of 25 homes and a mosque near the area.

Meanwhile settlers confiscated a piece of land located in Basin No. 19 of Jalud’s lands the site of Shaab Khallet Al Wusta owned by the heirs of Rashid Muhammad.

Local sources reported that the settlers’ bulldozers razed the land which has an area of about 20 dunums.

Two days ago the IOF closed the road between the towns of Qusra and Jalud cordoned off more than 600 dunums of agricultural land and prevented its owners from accessing it while allowing the settlers of the Esh Kodesh outpost to seize the plot of land.
