Palestinian prisoner Rifaat Abu Fara has been in solitary confinement in the Negev jail for 25 days as a punitive measure after he delivered on May 13 an Eid al-Fitr khutba (sermon) and talked about Israel’s military aggression and crimes in Gaza.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) the Israeli prison service transferred Abu Farra from his isolation cell in Negev to another detention facility on Sunday.
PPS said that Israeli jailers did not disclose the place the prisoner was transferred to.
Abu Farra is supposed to be released soon on June 16 along with two of his brothers Rafi and Alaa after they complete their five-year prison term in Israeli jails.
