Sheikh Sabri urges Israel’s Arabs to frequent Aqsa Mosque

Friday 4-June-2021

Sheikh Ekrima Sabri head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Jerusalem has urged the Palestinians in the 1948 occupied territory (Israel) to intensify their presence at the Aqsa Mosque to block any Israeli attempt to control it.

In his Friday khutba (sermon) at the Omari Mosque in Lod City Sheikh Sabri applauded the Palestinians in the 1948 occupied territory for their keenness on visiting the Aqsa Mosque intensively during the holy month of Ramadan affirming that their notable presence in the holy city greatly contributed to foiling Israel’s settlement ambitions.

He warned that Israel’s recent detention and persecution campaign against the Arab citizens is aimed at discouraging them from praying at the Aqsa Mosque.

The Jerusalemite figure also hailed the angry reactions that had happened in recent weeks in the Palestinian Arab and international arenas against the occupation and its conspiracies calling on the Palestinian people from all spectra to join forces with each other and pool their efforts to confront the occupation and its malicious plans.
