Israeli prison forces carried out raids on the Palestinian prisoners’ rooms in Ashkelon prison in which 45 prisoners are being held including sick prisoners.
The Prisoners Club stated in a statement on Monday that the search campaign inside the wards continued until the evening.
The raids constitute one of the most prominent abuse policies that the occupation prison administration pursues against Palestinian prisoners.
Since the beginning of the last year 2019 the occupation has escalated the raids and searches inside the prisoners’ wards. The most violent raids were recorded in Ofer Negev and Raymond prisons specifically since February 2019 and continued until this year 2020. The last raid was in Ofer prison which witnessed the most violent raid during 2020.
