Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday evening shot a Palestinian youth and tightened movement restrictions on Palestinian citizens in al-Khalil City.
Local sources said that a Palestinian young man was shot in the leg by the IOF in Bab al-Zawiya area and later taken to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile the IOF installed several checkpoints in Tal Rumeida neighborhood and al-Shuhadaa Street and blocked the movement of Palestinian citizens preventing many of them from returning to their homes from other areas.
Tal Rumedia is one of al-Khalil’s hardest-hit areas by Israeli violations and restrictions that serve settlement projects in the city.
There are about 50 settler outposts and neighborhoods in al-Khalil inhabited by over 30000 settlers who seek to gradually tighten their grip on the city.
