Dozens of Palestinian citizens were injured on Friday when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violently quelled the weekly demonstration in Kafr Qaddum village in Qalqilya.
Activist Murad Shtewi said that the IOF attacked the peaceful demonstrators with live ammunition rubber-coated metal bullets tear gas canisters and stun grenades.
At least 10 Palestinians suffered injuries by rubber-coated metal bullets and live bullet shrapnel while dozens choked on tear gas according to Shtewi.
The IOF soldiers further broke into several Palestinian homes in the village wreaked havoc on them and used their rooftops as lookouts to shoot at the protesters.
Palestinians in Kafr Qaddum took to the streets in large numbers following the Friday prayer to protest Israel’s settlement expansion at the expense of their lands in the village and the entire West Bank and to confirm their rejection of the annexation plan.
