Israeli police slap six-month entry ban on Aqsa guard

Tuesday 26-May-2020

The Israeli occupation police on Tuesday decided to ban Aqsa guard Hamza Namer from entering the Mosque compound for six months.

Namer received the new police order after he went to the Qishlah detention center in the Old City of Jerusalem for interrogation in the morning.

Israeli police officers arrested Namer last week as he was working at the Aqsa Mosque’s Dome of the Rock building after he prevented them from defiling it at the pretext of carrying out a security search.

At the time he was hauled to the Qishlah center and handed an order banning his entry to the Mosque for one week and asking him to come again for interrogation on Tuesday.

Today the police decided to prolong his Aqsa entry ban for six months.

Namer had been arrested and banished from the Aqsa Mosque compound several times before as a malicious policy pursued systematically by the Israeli occupation authority against the Islamic Awqaf employees working at the Mosque.
