The Hamas Movement has congratulated the Islamic Bloc for winning the students council elections of the An-Najah National University in the West Bank city of Nablus.
In a press statement on Tuesday evening the Movement saluted all the student blocks who competed in the elections adding that winning the election by the Islamic block reflects that resistance is the choice of the Palestinian masses.
The Movement added that the results of the elections show that the Israeli targeting of student activists will not weaken the Palestinian students’ determination to support the Palestinian issue.
It called on student activists all over the occupied territories to continue organizing awareness campaigns in support of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the just Palestinian cause.
Earlier today the Islamic Block affiliated with Hamas Movement won 40 out of 81 seats in the students council elections held in An-Najah National University.
