A high-level delegation from the Hamas Movement led by head of its international relations office Mousa Abu Marzouk on Monday met with speaker of Iran’s Islamic consultative assembly Ali Larijani in the Lebanese capital Beirut.
The delegation also included members of Hamas’s political bureau Husam Badran and Maher Obeid as well as the Movement’s representative to Tehran Khaled al-Qaddumi and its representative to Lebanon Ahmed Abdul-Hadi.
The two sides discussed the latest political developments in the Palestinian and regional arenas especially the US deal of the century and also talked about the bilateral relations between the Movement and Iran.
For his part Larijani reiterated his country’s rejection of the deal of the century and its unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their resistance affirming the Iranian leadership’s keenness on promoting the ties with Hamas.
