Israeli prison forces broke into and ransacked cells in Nafha jail on Thursday provoking tension with Palestinian prisoners.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society a state of tension with prisoners prevailed in Nafha jail after forces from the Israeli prison service (IPS) raided the cells of section 3 and brutalized prisoners.
At the behest of Israeli far-right security minister Itamar Ben Gvir the IPS launched in recent months provocative raids on cells in its jails with the aim of creating instability among Palestinian prisoners.
Immediately after his appointment as a security minister Ben Gvir pledged to make the incarceration conditions for the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails during his tenure worse than before.
