Delegations from Hamas and the Islamic Jihad movements returned to Gaza on Sunday evening following a several-week-long regional tour.
Local sources said that the two delegations arrived in Gaza following a tour that included visits to several countries.
Hamas’s spokesman Hazem Qasem said that a Hamas delegation led by Khalil al-Hayya a member of the movement’s political bureau returned to Gaza on Sunday after visiting a number of countries including Egypt Turkey Qatar and Malaysia.
On 3 December 2019 Hamas and Islamic Jihad delegations led by the head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya and the secretary general of the Islamic Jihad Zeyad al-Nakhala held a meeting in Cairo to discuss the latest developments in the political situation of Gaza.
