Dozens of Palestinians injured in West Bank protests

Dozens of Palestinian citizens were injured on Friday when Israeli occupation forces attacked anti-settlement demonstrations in Qalqilya and Ramallah in the West Bank.

Activist Murad Shtewi said that the Israeli forces violently dispersed the weekly march in Kafr Qaddum town near Qalqilya with live ammunition rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters injuring a number of Palestinians.

Meanwhile in al-Mughayyir village northeast of Ramallah three Palestinian youths were injured by Israeli live ammunition and rubber-coated steel bullets.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a brief statement that the injured youths were transferred to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah City for treatment.

Dozens of Palestinians took part in a peaceful march in al-Mughayyir village after they performed Friday Prayer on Palestinian lands threatened with confiscation in favor of settlement construction.

The Israeli occupation forces met the peaceful demonstrators with live ammunition rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas grenades.

Dozens of Palestinians injured in West Bank protests

Scores of Palestinian citizens were wounded on Friday by gunfire and tear gas fired by the Israeli occupation forces who quelled several demonstrations against the settlement and the separation wall in the West Bank.

The Israeli forces in Ramallah attacked a march in Kafr Malik village against Israel’s seizure of Palestinian-owned lands in favor of building a new settler outpost.

Local sources said that a Palestinian citizen was injured by a rubber-coated metal bullet while dozens choked on tear gas.

Meanwhile in Qalqilya a number of Palestinian protesters suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling tear gas fired by the Israeli forces who quelled a peaceful demonstration in Kafr Qaddoum village against the settlement.

In Ni’lin village west of Ramallah the Israeli forces quelled a demonstration against the separation wall heavily firing tear gas canisters and stun grenades at the Palestinian demonstrators. No injuries were reported.

Dozens of Palestinians were injured on Friday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) quelled mass protests against the settlement and in support of the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails in different West Bank areas.

Two Palestinians were injured as the IOF stormed al-Mughayyir village and Ramallah and opened fire at the Palestinians protesting on lands threatened with confiscation in favor of settlement expansion projects.

Local sources said that the IOF heavily fired live ammunition rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas at the peaceful protesters. Dozens suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling tear gas.

Violent clashes broke out in Tuqu’ town in Bethlehem where two Palestinians were wounded by IOF gunfire and dozens others choked on tear gas according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

Dozens of Palestinians and foreign peace activists suffered tear gas inhalation when the IOF attacked the weekly demonstration in Kafr Qaddoum in Qalqilya which demands the opening of the village’s main road which has been closed for 15 days.

The demonstrators chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails following the latest escalation in Ofer prison.

Popular resistance coordinator in Kafr Qaddoum Murad Shtewi said that dozens of IOF soldiers stormed the village climbed the rooftops of several homes and fired tear gas bombs at the Palestinians.

Local sources reported that a number of Palestinians were injured in the IOF quelling of a peaceful demonstration in Ni’lin village in Ramallah against the settlement and the Apartheid Wall.

The IOF attacked another popular demonstration in Bil’in village which was organized to show solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners who have been subjected to brutal attacks by the Israel Prison Service.

Eyewitnesses said that the IOF fired stun grenades and pepper gas at the demonstrators.

Meanwhile a Palestinian young man was injured by a rubber-coated metal bullet during an anti-settlement demonstration in Jabal al-Risan area in Ramallah.
