Sheikh Izzuddin al-Amarneh a senior Hamas official in Jenin entered on Thursday day 5 of the hunger strike he staged in protest at his administrative detention.
Amarneh’s wife said that her husband’s health deteriorated following his hunger strike which he started last Sunday describing his condition as very difficult especially because he is blind and suffers from multiple health issues.
She appealed to international human rights organizations to pressure the Israeli occupation authority to release her husband immediately and unconditionally pointing out that he is unable to serve himself without assistance from another person.
She affirmed that the Israeli judge did not allow her husband to speak during the last session and extended his administrative detention for four months.
