“I lost my house”: Israeli aggression ends Elayan’s dreams

Only a few weeks after his wedding the Israeli warplanes destroyed Atta Elayan’s new apartment during the latest attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Speaking to the PIC news reporter Elayan said that the Israeli air raids ended his dreams and wedding souvenirs that he shared with his wife.

On the last day of the Israeli five-day aggression the Israeli intelligence ordered the evacuation of a residential neighborhood in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.

Dozens of children women and disabled people were given only a few minutes to leave their houses.

A few moments later the whole area was completely destroyed in a massive air raid.

During the Israeli aggression on Gaza 33 Palestinians were killed including children and women and more than 100 wounded.

2041 housing units were damaged during the attacks while the material losses were estimated at $9 million.

31 buildings and 93 housing units were completely destroyed 128 housing units became uninhabitable while 1820 housing units were partially damaged.

“I didn’t have much time I was sleeping in my house when a neighbor knocked on the door saying that the entire area will be targeted” Elayan told the PIC reporter.

He continued “There was no time for us; I had no choice but to leave the house with my wife.”

Elayan said that the whole building was completely destroyed and nothing of their souvenirs was left.
