The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished on Monday morning two residential structures in the Bedouin community of Ma’in in Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil.
Local official Fuaad al-Amour said that the IOF knocked down a house belonging to Diyab Hamamida in Ma’in hamlet at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
Amour added that the IOF also demolished a tent in the same hamlet. The family of Ayed Hamaida was living in that tent after the IOF destroyed their house about one year ago.
The Israeli army started in recent months to carry out large-scale demolitions and displace local residents in Masafer Yatta after the Israeli high court approved in May 2022 the forced expulsion of Palestinian villagers from this area which is located in the southern West Bank.
For long years Masafer Yatta residents have been facing great difficulties in providing decent living conditions for themselves as they suffer from different Israeli violations and attacks on them and their property almost on a daily basis.
