The Foreign Minister of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Saturday met the Islamic Jihad Movement’s Secretary-General Ziyad al-Nakhalah in Beirut to discuss latest Palestinian developments.
Amir-Abdollahian reiterated his country’s support for the Palestinian people and resistance in their struggle against the Israeli occupation.
He stressed the importance of achieving unity among the Palestinian resistance factions adding that the Arab and Muslim nations should be united while supporting the Palestinian just cause.
For his part Nakhalah hailed the Iranian positions in supporting the Palestinian issue at all levels adding that the Palestinian resistance will always confront the Israeli occupation by all means possible.
During the meeting the two parties stressed that practical measures should be taken to confront the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people and sanctities.
The Iranian chief diplomat also met the Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Azmi Mikati Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and the Secretary-General of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah during his stay in Lebanon.
