The health of the Palestinian wounded prisoner Fatima Shahin has been deteriorating due to the Israeli policy of medical neglect Asra Media Office reported.
In a press statement on Monday the office underlined that prisoner Shahin had been injured in the back and stomach by three Israeli live bullets one of which penetrated her spine and paralyzed her.
The office underlined that Shahin is currently held in the solitary confinement of Ramleh prison despite her serious health condition.
Shahin from the West Bank city of Bethlehem is in her twenties. She is married and a mother of three children.
Last April the Israeli occupation forces arrested Shahin after injuring her near the Arroub refugee camp to the north of al-Khalil.
Around 4780 Palestinian citizens including 32 women 170 minors and 1000 administrative detainees are held in Israeli jails.
At least 700 patients are currently held in Israeli prisons 24 of whom are diagnosed with cancer or cancerous tumors according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society.
