Tragic Loss: Innocent children target of Israeli missiles

The Israeli killing machine continues to commit its barbaric crimes in the Gaza Strip for over three months, targeting children, women, the elderly, and all aspects of human life.

In the western part of Khan Yunis, last Saturday evening witnessed a bloody massacre committed by the Israeli aircraft, as they targeted with at least two rockets an inhabited residential building belonging to the Buraies family, resulting in the martyrdom of 28 citizens, half of whom were children, along with several women.

One of the survivors of the horrifying massacre told a correspondent from the Palestinian Information Center: “The five-story house accommodated dozens of residents from several displaced families, mostly children and women, including families displaced from Gaza City and the northern areas of the Strip.”

He added that two airstrikes targeted the house, turning the place into a pile of rubble and death.

Amidst the horrors of what is happening, it turns out that the oldest person martyred in the house was 50 years old, while the youngest were two infants who had not yet reached one week of age, in addition to two fetuses inside their mothers’ wombs.

Mohammed Buraies, a relative of the family, wonders: “What did all the martyrs, children, and women do? Are these the targets Netanyahu aims for in his dirty war?”

Since the beginning of the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7th, over 10,000 children and 7,000 women have been martyred, making up around 23,000 martyrs.

Buraies affirms that the house sheltered dozens of civilians, and there were no resistance activities in the place. However, Israel is spreading the ashes of its death everywhere in a genocide witnessed by the entire world.

Martyrs under the rubble

Like all horrifying massacres, which have reached nearly two thousand, civil defense crews and citizens face significant difficulties in the process of retrieving the martyrs and the wounded due to the lack of resources, machinery, and fuel. They are forced to dig with their bare hands to retrieve what can be salvaged, while many martyrs remain under the rubble for long days and weeks.

It is not the only massacre, and it seems it will not be the last. The Israeli occupation army is saturated with the instinct of criminal killing, barely quenching its thirst with the blood of children and innocents, which it spills around the clock in the Gaza Strip for the past three bloody months.

A genocide

Professor of International Law Raed Abu Badawiyah confirms that these ongoing massacres around the clock prove beyond any reasonable doubt that Israel is committing acts of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

He praised the lawsuit filed by the Republic of South Africa in the International Court of Justice, in which it accuses the occupation state of committing genocide. This lawsuit has alarmed Israel.

The professor of international law said, “The horrifying scenes of barbaric crimes coming out of the Gaza Strip do not require any evidence. The picture is clear and the scenes and testimonies condemn Israel in a definite and decisive manner.”

He called for the activation of Palestinian and Arab diplomacy to pursue Israeli war criminals and bring them to international justice in order to achieve justice for the oppressed.
