What lies behind the Israeli occupation army’s frenzy of killing and destruction in northern Gaza?

Since the onset of its brutal aggression against Gaza, the Israeli Nazi occupation has seized every opportunity to implement its larger plan to empty the Gaza Strip of its inhabitants. Its most intense and destructive efforts are manifested in a feverish frenzy of killing, destruction, and bombardment in the Gaza and northern governorates. This is part of its criminal work to achieve its declared objectives, none of which it has been able to realize even after a full year of devastation.

Meanwhile, the occupation army is waging a ruthless campaign against northern Gaza to tighten the noose around civilians and force them into displacement. This is a declared plan aimed at isolating the resistance fighters and besieging them so that it can eliminate them either through killing or through a war of siege and starvation, after excluding the popular support base, which it seeks to terrorize and compel to leave. This has been echoed in previous statements by leaders of Netanyahu’s extremist government and its military commanders.

The occupation’s justifications appear flimsy and do not resonate with the residents of northern Gaza, who have witnessed firsthand how safe areas and corridors have turned into rivers of blood and unprecedented massacres. The people of the enclave now seem to prefer martyrdom amidst the rubble of their homes over responding to the lies of the occupation, which they have tasted as false and deceitful over the past year.

This widespread aggression carries with it an effort by all means and methods, primarily through terrorism via bombing, killing, destruction, and the siege of hospitals in the north, to force people to abandon their homes and flee. This is paving the way for dangerous Zionist schemes that have become clear to anyone with insight.

The occupation army uses deceptive announcements to hide the details of its criminal plan, wrapping them in claims and lies about a limited operation. This scenario was observed by the entire world during the extensive operation in Rafah, where it claimed the actions were limited and temporary. However, these lies quickly dissolved with its announcement to remain there and solidify the occupation, refusing to submit to any initiative for a prisoner exchange that would compel it to withdraw from Rafah, the Netzarim axis, and the Salah al-Din route up to this moment.

Yet, these plans, which it has sought to implement since the first day of the aggression, have collapsed in the face of the heroism of the people of northern Gaza, who refuse to be displaced and prefer to die in their homes rather than face displacement and exile. The tone of steadfastness, resilience, and defiance is evident in such difficult times. They are firm and will remain as long as thyme and olives grow in the soil of Gaza, and they continue to declare and reiterate this as a steadfast belief, even at the cost of death for the sake of Allah in defense of Gaza and its land.

While the brutal occupation army continues its aggression through bombing, killing, and destruction to break the will of the people of Gaza, the international community persists in its impotence, silence, hypocrisy, and conspiracy against the besieged Strip, which is facing a devastating war that has resulted in tens of thousands of martyrs, wounded, and missing, without fulfilling its humanitarian duties to stop the aggression. Instead, it continues to actively participate in this aggression, especially since it halted the entry of aid to the north two weeks ago as part of a starvation plan that preceded the military aggression.

The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip has confirmed that the humanitarian situation in northern Gaza is worsening hour by hour, following the occupation’s extensive attack on the areas of Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia, and Jabalia for the fourth consecutive day. A tight siege is being imposed, preventing the entry of water, food, and medical supplies. The occupation has committed massacres against civilians, resulting in dozens of martyrs and hundreds of wounded, while the bodies of the martyrs remain in the streets, making it difficult for rescue and civil defense teams to reach them due to the targeting of these teams by the occupation forces.

The Civil Defense statement said that the occupation is threatening more than 200,000 citizens in the areas and neighborhoods of northern Gaza to evacuate their homes, committing massacres against civilians to force residents to flee and displace them from their homes. Additionally, it was reported that the occupation threatened hospitals in northern Gaza to evacuate within 24 hours, warning of targeting these hospitals.

Human rights warnings and humanitarian appeals
The Civil Defense has appealed to the world and all international organizations to pressure Israel to stop the crime of genocide against the residents of northern Gaza and to enable medical and civil defense teams to carry out their work and allow the entry of essential life supplies.

The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has warned of an unprecedented humanitarian disaster as the Israeli occupation tightens its siege on the Jabalia refugee camp and the Beit Lahia project for the fourth consecutive day, escalating the crime of genocide against Palestinians there by committing massacres and acts of deliberate killing and widespread forced displacement. The organization has called on the international community, particularly the United Nations, to intervene immediately and decisively to save tens of thousands of residents who are facing one of the most intense campaigns of genocide witnessed in the region.

The Monitor reported that the occupation forces have tightened their siege on the Jabalia camp and its adjacent eastern and northern neighborhoods, such as Tal al-Zaatar, Al-Sikka, Beit Hanoun, and Beit Lahia, alongside their positioning in the western area reaching the Yafa cemetery and the Tawam intersection.

The Euro-Med Monitor highlighted that the occupation forces continue to invade large parts of northern Gaza since the evening of Saturday, October 5, with airstrikes and artillery shelling, including bombarding homes while residents are inside, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries. The Monitor received initial information about the execution of five citizens by the occupation forces, including a woman, a man, and his son, while they were trying to flee from the Jabalia camp, despite raising white flags.

In a serious development, Israeli army forces have reported a complete evacuation of the Kamal Adwan Hospital located in the Beit Lahia project, northern Gaza. Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, said that he received a call from the occupation forces instructing him to evacuate the hospital of patients and medical staff within 24 hours, or they would be at risk.

Kamal Adwan Hospital, along with two other hospitals in northern Gaza—the Al-Awda and Indonesian hospitals in Jabalia—are operating partially after being subjected to destruction, raids, and mistreatment of medical staff, patients, and displaced persons during the initial invasion of northern Gaza last December. This development comes at a time when Kamal Adwan Hospital is under siege by quadcopter drones for the second consecutive day, with dozens of airstrikes on surrounding buildings and targeting its entrance with smoke bombs.
