Amid airstrikes, fire belts, and gunfire from quadcopters, the Israeli occupation’s attacks on Gaza City have varied since Saturday morning, resulting in dozens of martyrs and injured, reminiscent of the horrifying rounds of aggression over the past months.

Local sources confirmed to the Palestinian Information Center reporter that the occupation forces launched dozens of airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, focusing particularly on Gaza City, targeting many homes and gatherings, adding extra burdens on the emergency and rescue teams, which were not spared from being targeted.

Intensive strikes and targeting civilians
This evening, occupation aircraft bombed two homes belonging to the Dalou and Zahid families near Abu Amin roundabout in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City, destroying them. When neighbors and rescue teams rushed to help, the occupation forces targeted them with gunfire from quadcopters and artillery shelling from their positions in northern Gaza.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that several martyrs remained under the rubble of the targeted homes as well as in the streets due to repeated attacks in the area, which saw at least five consecutive airstrikes.

Intensive bombardment
Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal confirmed that occupation aircraft carried out violent and intensive airstrikes on Gaza City this evening.

“Oh Lord, protect us,” said Abu Ahmed Matar, as he heard every explosion. “The occupation is violating everything; we don’t know where the next strike will be.”

Matar explained to the Palestinian Information Center reporter that the occupation has not stopped its bombardment and aggression since October 7, and we have endured difficult days and weeks. However, relatively, things had calmed down in Gaza City in recent weeks as the occupation focused its aggression on the northern Gaza Strip, with specific airstrikes and targeted attacks, but the current significant escalation reminds us of the difficult days of war.

Victims and destroyed homes
Our reporter quoted local sources as saying that the occupation forces focused their recent airstrikes on targeting homes and civilians and their gatherings. This evening, occupation aircraft launched a series of violent airstrikes on the northeastern areas of Gaza City, bombing a residential square for the Al-Ashi family next to the Sharia court in Gaza City.

According to the Civil Defense and other sources, the bodies of five martyrs were recovered from the area while 11 people remained under the rubble.

The occupation aircraft also bombed citizens’ homes in the industrial area of Gaza City and carried out a fire belt surrounding the college south of Gaza City. Two citizens were injured when the occupation bombed agricultural land near Al-Ma’muniya School in western Gaza City, while an occupation aircraft bombed a house on Yarmouk Street, resulting in one martyr among a group of citizens near Palestine Stadium in western Gaza City.

Widespread destruction and ongoing tragedy
From one place to another, the targeting within the city continues, where Israel has destroyed more than 70% of its buildings over the past 15 months. In the afternoon, a gathering of citizens in Al-Nakheel Street in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood of eastern Gaza City was targeted, resulting in the martyrdom of four and injuries to others. In western Gaza, a house was bombed in Al-Shati refugee camp.

Eleven martyrs were reported, including seven children, due to the occupation’s bombing of a house belonging to the Al-Ghoula family in the Al-Shuja’iyya neighborhood of eastern Gaza City. Before noon, several citizens were injured following an attack by a quadcopter on a house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of western Gaza City, and one martyr fell due to the occupation’s bombardment in the Al-Mukhabarat Towers area in northwestern Gaza City.
