Data provided by the Europeans for Jerusalem Foundation showed that Israeli occupation forces committed 747 violations in Jerusalem in February distributed among 18 patterns of human rights violations, with incursions and raids topping the list at 51.9%, followed by arrests at 13.9%.

The monthly report of Europeans for Jerusalem on violations in Jerusalem in February 2024 documented 40 shooting incidents and direct assaults by Israeli occupation forces in the neighborhoods of Jerusalem. This resulted in the martyrdom of 5 citizens, including two children, and the injury of 18 others with injuries, and dozens suffered from suffocation, in addition to at least 24 citizens being subjected to beatings and abuse.

The report also documented 388 invasion operations of towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem, during which 104 citizens were arrested, including 7 children, 10 women, and 14 others were summoned and house arrest was imposed on citizens.

The report also documented 17 demolition operations that destroyed 17 houses, including 5 that the owners were forced to demolish themselves, other than the bulldozing of agricultural land.

The report recorded 3 land confiscation measures in various parts of Jerusalem, affecting more than 2,604 dunums.

During this month, the Israeli authorities issued 7 decisions and measures to consolidate settlement and Judaization in occupied Jerusalem, the most prominent of which is the preparation for approval of 5,059 settlement units in 7 different locations in Jerusalem settlements, and the establishment of a new settlement city in Jerusalem next to the town of Um Tuba.

3,274 settlers and hundreds under the name of tourists participated in storming Al-Aqsa Mosque, which was repeated for 20 days during the month. The Israeli occupation forces continued to besiege Al-Aqsa Mosque and reduce the number of worshippers to several thousands on Fridays.

The Israeli occupation authorities continued to implement the policy of expulsion from Al-Aqsa Mosque or the city of Jerusalem, and during this month, 7 expulsion decisions were issued.

The report documented 8 attacks carried out by settlers, including assaults, incitement acts, and the destruction of a group of Islamic graves in Okasha Mosque northwest of Jerusalem, where they restored a grave claiming it to be the grave of Benjamin, the brother of the Prophet Joseph, peace be upon him.

The report also documented 51 permanent and sudden barriers, as well as two violations related to press freedom and public freedoms, and two violations related to collective punishment.

It warned of the danger of what is happening in Jerusalem in terms of violations and the unleashing of extremist settlers in attacking citizens, and attempting to impose new facts in Al-Aqsa Mosque, along with the increasing suffering of Jerusalemites, parallel to the continuation of Judaization policies and repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, attempting to impose a temporal and spatial division on the Mosque, and repeated attacks on the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall and attempts to close it.

It also warned of the policies, measures, and decisions of the Israeli government, some of whose ministers have declared positions regarding the Judaization of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem, and if implemented, they could ignite a new wave of violence and escalation in the region as a whole.
