The Movement said in its obituary, “We extend our condolences to the masses of our Arab and Islamic nation and mourn the venerable Sheikh and the great preacher, Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Zindani, founder of Al-Iman University in Yemen, and the International Authority for Scientific Miracles in the Qur’an and Sunnah in Makkah, and a member of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform, and one of its founders, who passed away, on Monday, in the city of Istanbul, Turkey, at the age of 82, after a life full of giving.”

Hamas confirmed in its obituary that the venerable Sheikh Al-Zindani, was, during his blessed biography and career, one of the most prominent men of education and advocacy in Yemen and the Islamic world, a pioneer of the scientific miracles in the Holy Qur’an, and a pillar of Islamic work in supporting the issues of the Islamic nation, at the forefront of which is the issue of Palestine, Jerusalem, and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Hamas concluded its obituary by saying, “We, Palestinians, lose today one of the great figures defending our people, an honest voice in support of our people’s legitimate resistance, and a sincere voice constantly calling for halting the Israeli aggression against our people and terminating the occupation of our land. We mourn with patience and consideration Sheikh Al-Zindani and extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to his honorable family, the brotherly Yemeni people, all of his students and followers. We ask Almighty Allah to grant him His vast mercy and forgiveness, and to make him dwell in the highest Paradise.”
