Head of the Hamas Movement’s political bureau, Ismail Haneyya, received in his office in Istanbul an Algerian delegation that included heads of parliamentary groups from the Algerian National People’s Assembly, heads of parties, and former MPs.
The two parties discussed during the meeting the political and field developments related to the Israeli aggressive war on the Gaza Strip.
The Algerian delegation expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of Haneyya sons and grandchildren.
Regarding Algeria’s positions on the Palestinian issue and the resistance, Haneyya, expressed gratitude for Algeria’s stances as well as his appreciation for the Algerian delegation, citing the President of the Republic’s positions and the diplomatic and political role he played as examples of the depth of the peoples’ fraternal relationship and the harmony between the official and popular positions.
Haneyya also called for continued efforts to provide political cover for the Palestinian resistance as national liberation movements exercising their right to defend themselves and their land by all possible means, especially armed resistance.
The Algerian delegation hailed the Palestinian resistance and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, emphasizing the firm Algerian position on the Palestinian issue and rejection of the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza.
