Haneyya: A delegation from Hamas to resume ceasefire talks in Cairo soon

Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has agreed with Qatari premier and foreign minister Mohamed Al Thani and Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel on resuming the ceasefire talks in order to put an end to the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

According to his office, Haneyya talked over the phone with the Qatari premier and discussed with him the latest developments regarding the ceasefire negotiations.

Haneyya highlighted his Movement’s keenness on studying the ceasefire proposal it received recently, and expressed his appreciation to Qatar for its role in the mediation efforts.

The Hamas leader also phoned the Egyptian spy chief and talked with him about the ceasefire efforts.

He thanked Egypt for its great efforts to end the war on Gaza, and affirmed that a high-level delegation from the Movement would visit Cairo soon to resume the ceasefire talks in order to reach an agreement ending the aggression against the Gazans and fulfill their just demands.
