The League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds has stressed that Itamar Ben-Gvir’s raid into the Al-Aqsa Mosque constitutes a dangerous phase in the Israeli attempts of changing the status quo of Jerusalem.
In a press statement on Tuesday the League said that the incursion which is part of the Israeli Judaization plans at the Al-Aqsa Mosque would lead to escalation at the region holding Israel responsible for the repercussions of desecrating the holy site.
The League affirmed that this desecration against Al-Aqsa Mosque is the result of international inaction towards the repeated Israeli crimes that violate all international laws and conventions.
Earlier in the morning Israel’s far-right national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem under tight police protection.
Palestinian resistance and national forces had earlier warned that such a provocative move by Ben-Gvir would spark violence.
