At the behest of far-right security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir the Israeli prison service (IPS) started on Sunday to transfer dozens of Palestinian prisoners from Megiddo jail to Gilboa jail.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society the IPS transferred on Sunday 40 prisoners from section 8 of Megiddo jail and transferred 30 others today Monday to Gilboa jail.
One week ago IPS forces carried out violent raids on cells of Palestinian prisoners in Hadarim and transferred 80 detainees from Hadarim jail to Nafha jail.
In recent Twitter remarks Ben Gvir threatened that he would make sure that the Palestinian prisoners would not get better detention conditions than before.
