Hamas’s representative in Lebanon Ahmed Abdul-Hadi met on Tuesday with Indonesian ambassador Hajriyanto Thohari at the embassy’s headquarters in Beirut and discussed with him different developments related to the Palestinian cause.
In a statement Hamas’s media office in Lebanon said that during meeting which was attended by the Movement’s media and political relations director Abdul-Majid al-Awad the Hamas representative highlighted the living conditions of the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian arena especially after the formation of a far-right Israeli government.
Abdul-Hadi talked about the dangers threatening the Palestinian cause as a result of the Israeli government’s unprecedented aggressive and racist practices especially with regard to Jerusalem the Aqsa Mosque settlement activity the blockade on Gaza and the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
The Hamas official also put the Indonesian ambassador in the picture of the Palestinian refugees’ suffering in Lebanon and affirmed the refugees’ adherence to their right to return to Palestine and their rejection of any plan to resettle them in other countries.
For his part ambassador Thohari welcomed the Hamas officials and reiterated his country’s support for the Palestinian people and the justice of their national cause.
He also condemned the Israeli violations at the Aqsa Mosque and the ongoing Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
