The Hamas Movement has condemned the decision by Sudan’s foreign ministry to move forward towards normalizing relations with Israel calling upon officials in the Arab country to reverse the measure.
In a press statement on Friday the Movement said that the development coincides with the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people lands and sanctities adding that 35 Palestinian citizens including women and children have been killed by Israel since the beginning of 2023.
The Movement reiterated its rejection of all forms of normalization with the occupying Israeli regime calling on Sudanese authorities to reverse the decision which runs contrary to the interests of the brotherly Sudanese nation.
For its part “Reporters for Jerusalem” condemned the Sudanese government for its decision to normalize ties with Israel adding that the transitional government does not have the right to sign any agreement with Israel.
Earlier on Thursday Sudan and Israel agreed to press ahead with a stalled peace treaty during the first official visit by an Israeli foreign minister to Khartoum.
