The Hamas Movement has hailed the Palestinian teachers in the homeland and abroad praising their leading role in preserving the Palestinian identity.
In a press statement on Saturday the Movement expressed its deep appreciation to all the teaching staff in the Arab world for their effective efforts in fostering the values of defending their nations and persevering the identity of the Arab world its constants and holy sites.
“The Israeli attempts aimed at changing the educational curriculum in some Arab countries to serve the agenda of normalization with Israel and the policy of whitewashing its image are bound to fail” the Movement affirmed adding that Israel poses a real threat to the region’s security and stability and the interests and future of its people.
The Movement condemned the repeated Israeli crimes against Palestinian teachers and institutions calling on all human rights groups and humanitarian organizations to provide protection and a safe environment for Palestinian teachers.
It stressed that developing a curriculum that documents the Palestinian history and the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people is a political and historic responsibility that all governments and educational institutions should assume.
The Arab world today celebrates Arab teachers’ day to salute their efforts in bringing up generations and fostering the values of defending their nations and persevering the Arab world’s identity.
