The Hamas Movement has strongly condemned the Palestinian Authority’s participation in the security meeting held in the Jordanian city of Aqaba in the presence of representatives for the Israeli government.
In a press statement on Sunday the Movement said that such a practice doesn’t conform with the Palestinian national consensus adding that it gives the green light for Israel to escalate its violations against the Palestinian people lands and sanctities.
The Movement called on the PA to backtrack on this fruitless move and not to submit to the Zionist-American dictates that only work in favor of Israel at the expense of the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights.
It also urged the PA to irrevocably end security coordination with Israel and not to be partners in targeting the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank.
For their part the Palestinian factions labeled the PA’s participation in the security meeting in the city of Aqaba as an “unacceptable crime that cannot be tolerated.”
During their meeting that was held in Gaza the factions stressed that the Palestinian people will continue defending their rights and lands by all means possible.
Earlier today Jordan hosted a meeting between Israeli and Palestinian officials in a bid to de-escalate tension in the occupied West Bank.
