Hamas Movement welcomed the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) move to hold an extraordinary meeting to discuss the latest Israeli escalation and called for urgent action to criminalize the occupation.
In a statement issued on Sunday Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif Al-Qanou hailed “the decision of the OIC Executive Committee to hold an extraordinary meeting on Monday.”
He considered the move as “an important step in line with its historical responsibilities in defending the rights of our people and their legitimate struggle.”
He further called on the members of the OIC Executive Committee to adopt firm positions against the occupation’s violations and aggression to put an end to its escalating criminality and to work on criminalizing Israeli leaders and hold them accountable before international courts.
