The Hamas Movement has condemned the arrest campaign launched by the Palestinian Authority security services in the West Bank city of Nablus labeling it as “unacceptable”.
The Movement said on Saturday that the PA arrest campaign that includes violent break-ins into Palestinian houses and searches only serves the interest of the Israeli occupation pointing out that such a campaign coincides with the escalating Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people lands and sanctities.
The number of political prisoners reached 20 over the past 24 hours after the PA security services escalated their large-scale arrest campaign which started last night.
The campaign which continued until Saturday afternoon was launched against Palestinians who took part in the funeral procession of martyr Abdul Fattah Kharwasha who carried out the Huwara shooting operation that resulted in killing two Jewish settlers last month.
Last Tuesday the Palestinian resistance fighter Kharwasha from Nablus was shot dead by Israeli live bullets during an armed clash in the West Bank city of Jenin.
