Hamas representative in Lebanon Ahmed Abdulhadi received the Russian ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rudakov at the Movement’s office in Beirut on Wednesday.
A Hamas statement said that they discussed bilateral relations in addition to the latest Palestinian developments especially the Israeli occupation’s escalating aggression in the West Bank.
They also discussed the latest Israeli restrictions imposed on the Palestinian prisoners and the Israeli schemes against the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem which if not checked could trigger an explosion in the region.
Abdulhadi touched on the issue of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and their difficult economic conditions calling on UNRWA to assume its responsibility in alleviating the living conditions of those refugees.
The Hamas representative appreciated the Russian role in support of the Palestine cause at all international platforms and its keenness on achieving Palestinian national unity.
