The Hamas Movement strongly condemned the PA participation in the Sharm El-Sheikh summit which is planned to be held in Cairo in the coming days.
Spokesman for the Movement Hazem Qassem said that the PA participation in the upcoming summit comes in total disregard to the Palestinian people’s suffering at the hands of the Israeli forces and settlers.
Qassem called on the PA to reverse its decision which only serves the occupation’s agenda.
He further called on the PA to stop all security coordination with the Israeli occupation and to stand behind the national consensus and the Palestinian people’s will for resistance till putting an end to the occupation.
A new summit will be held in the coming days in Sharm el-Sheikh Egypt under the US auspices amid the participation of the PA and Israeli delegations.
The Sharm el-Sheikh summit comes only two weeks after the Aqaba security summit with the aim of deescalating the surging violence ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
