The Hamas Movement has condemned the Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich for his statements in which he said that there is “no such thing as Palestinians because there’s no such thing as the Palestinian people.”
In a press statement on Monday the Movement stressed that Smotrich’s statements reflect the racist Israeli policies that violate the Palestinian people’s rights especially their right to self-determination.
The Movement called on the international community to support the Palestinian people and prosecute the Israeli leaders urging Arab leaders to end normalization with Israel.
For his part member of the Hamas political bureau abroad Sami Abu Zuhri said that Smotrich’s statements today in Paris that “the Palestinian people are an invention of less than 100 years ago” uncover the true face of the criminal Israeli occupation.
Abu Zuhri called on Western political circles to ban and boycott the Israeli ministers as they pose a threat to international peace and security and call for perpetrating more massacres and crimes against the Palestinian people.
Earlier in March Smotrich commented at a conference that the town of “Huwara should be wiped out by Israel” adding that “private citizens shouldn’t take it upon themselves to do it.”
