Member of Hamas’s political bureau abroad Hisham Qassem has condemned the Jewish settlers’ raid into the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a press statement on Thursday Qassem said that such raids which are protected by the Israeli police require the Palestinian citizens to intensify their presence in the Al-Aqsa Mosque to preserve its Islamic and Palestinian identity.
“The Palestinian resistance will always defend Palestinian lands and sanctities against the Israeli judaization plans at all costs” Qassem stressed adding that such Israeli plans will not change the historic landmarks of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Qassem further called on the international human rights organizations to act in order to stop the Israeli restrictions against the Jerusalemites which violate their right to worship.
Earlier in the morning dozens of Jewish settlers provocatively performed Talmudic rituals in the Al-Aqsa courtyards while Israeli police imposed movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshippers at the entrances and gates of Al-Aqsa.
