The number of Palestinian prisoners who suffer from cancer and tumors in Israeli jails has increased since 2021.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) 24 prisoners suffer from different types and levels of cancer and tumors.
Some of those cancer-stricken prisoners underwent surgeries to remove tumors. However they still need intensive medical care.
Many others are waiting for medical test results to determine the nature of the tumors they suffer from while prisoner Yaqoub Qadri needs an operation to remove a gland tumor.
The most difficult cancer cases among those prisoners are Asef al-Rifai Ahmed Abu Awwad Walid Daqqa Ali al-Haroub and Mousa Sufan.
PPS accused the Israeli occupation authority of medically neglecting the cancer-stricken prisoners and detaining them under harsh incarceration conditions.
