Asra Media Office said that Palestinian cancer-stricken prisoner Walid Daqqa will undergo surgery today Wednesday at the Barzilai hospital to have part of his lung removed.
According to Asra Media prisoner Daqqa will undergo surgery following a sharp decline in his health condition.
Daqqa is a Palestinian writer and activist who has been in Israeli jails since 1986.
He was diagnosed last year with Myelofibrosis – a rare form of bone marrow cancer that disrupts the body’s normal production of blood cells.
