Member of the Hamas political bureau Harun Nasser El-Din has hailed the Palestinian masses for performing the Friday prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a press statement on Friday Nasser El-Din said that performing Friday prayer in big numbers despite Israeli restrictions reflects the Palestinian people’s readiness to defend the Al-Aqsa Mosque against Israeli desecration.
Earlier today tens of thousands of Palestinian worshippers mobilized from all over the occupied territories to perform Friday prayer on the international Quds Day anniversary that coincided with the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
Around 250000 Palestinian worshippers performed Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli obstacles and military checkpoints impeding their arrival at the holy Islamic site according to the Department of Islamic Endowments in Jerusalem.
