The Hamas Movement has condemned the Israeli police for storming the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and preventing Al-Aqsa guards from approaching the Mosque.
In a press statement on Monday the Movement labeled the Israeli raid as a crime committed by the Israeli fascist government and an attempt to impose temporal and spatial division on the holy site.
For his part the Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif Al-Qanou underlined that the Al-Aqsa including the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall will always be a place of worship for Muslims only stressing that the Palestinian people will always protect the holy site against Israeli desecration.
Earlier in the morning Israeli police stormed the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall for the second time in the last two days preventing Palestinian worshippers from reaching the area or getting close to it.
In 2019 Palestinian Jerusalemites managed to open the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall after it had been closed by the Israeli police for 16 years.
In another development Jewish settlers plan to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque next Wednesday to celebrate the so-called Independence Day while Palestinian activists call for mobilizing at the Mosque to defend it against the Israeli Judaization plans.
