The Israeli prison service (IPS) has transferred cancer-stricken prisoner Walid Daqqa from the Ramla prison’s infirmary to Soroka Hospital after another decline in his health condition according to Asra Media Office.
A few days ago prisoner Daqqa was transferred from an Israeli hospital to the Ramla jail’s infirmary while he was still in very poor health condition.
He underwent lung surgery last April at Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon following a sharp decline in his condition.
Daqqa is a Palestinian writer and activist who has been in Israeli jails since 1986.
He was diagnosed last year with myelofibrosis – a rare form of bone marrow cancer that disrupts the body’s normal production of blood cells.
