The Israeli occupation army demolished on Sunday morning the elementary school of Tahadi 5 in Beit Ta’mar east of Bethlehem.
Local sources said that Israeli forces stormed Beit Tamar cordoned off the area around the school and seized its contents before bulldozers embarked on demolishing it.
The school which was built of makeshift materials was attended by about 66 students. It was demolished in 2017 before it was rebuilt in the same year.
Last March an Israeli court issued a verdict ordering the demolition of the school after it rejected a petition filed against the measure.
Clashes reportedly took place between local residents and Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the school. Several citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas during the events.
