Hamas Movement mourned the martyrdom of the Palestinians killed by the Israeli occupation in pre-dawn airstrikes.
“The Israeli occupation continues its aggression against the Palestinian people who will remain steadfast in the face of Israeli crimes” the statement reads.
It added that the occupation bears responsibility for the repercussions of this escalation.
Hamas confirmed that the Palestinian resistance will continue to defend the Palestinian people against Israeli attacks.
For his part Hamas leader Ismail Haneyya has warned that Israel will “pay the price” for the killings of three Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement leaders in air attacks that also killed nine civilians.
“Assassinating the leaders with a treacherous operation will not bring security to the occupier but rather more resistance” Haneyya said in a statement.
At least 12 people were killed and 20 injured in Israeli air raids on the Gaza Strip at dawn Tuesday.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health declared that 12 people were killed and at least 20 others were injured in Israeli air attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The ministry affirmed that nine of the 12 people killed in the Israeli air raids were civilians.
Twenty others who were injured in the missile attacks were also civilians.
