In a step aimed at perpetuating its hegemony over east Jerusalem the Israeli occupation government held its weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday inside a tunnel beneath the Aqsa Mosque’s western wall.
During the meeting the Israeli government approved multiple Judaization and settlement projects in east Jerusalem and earmarked budgets for them on the 56th anniversary of the Israeli occupation of the holy city according to Maariv newspaper.
At the top of its agenda the government gave the go-ahead for a three-year plan costing 95 million shekels to encourage Jewish settlers to live in east Jerusalem.
Other settlement expansion projects in the holy city were reportedly tabled and okayed during the meeting.
