The Hamas Movement has condemned the Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces for storming the house of political prisoner Musaab Shtayyeh in the West Bank city of Nablus.
In a press statement on Sunday the Hamas spokesman Muhammad Hamadeh described the storming of prisoner Shtayyeh’s house and attacking his family members by the PA security forces as “barbaric and cowardly”.
The Movement’s spokesman stressed that political arrest is a crime that only serves the interest of the Israeli occupation calling for releasing all the Palestinian prisoners held in PA prisons.
Earlier at dawn the PA security forces stormed the house of prisoner Shtayyeh and savagely assaulted members of his family while they were preparing to hold a reception for their other son Suhaib who will be released soon from an Israeli jail.
On the 19th of September 2022 PA forces kidnaped Musaab Shtayyeh a member of the Hamas Movement after intercepting his car and assaulting him in Nablus City.
Despite the presence of three court verdicts ordering the release of prisoner Shtayyeh the PA security apparatuses still refuse to end his detention.
