The deputy director of the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Council Sheikh Najeh Bakirat has stressed that Jerusalemite activists are the spearhead of defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque against the Israeli plans to divide the holy site.
In a press statement on Saturday Bakirat said that Israel is attempting to impose spatial division on the Al-Aqsa Mosque through the Bab al-Rahmah area and the temporal division on the Mosque through the Bab al-Maghariba area.
Bakirat affirmed that the Israeli attempts to impose spatial and temporal division on the Al-Aqsa Mosque that aim at imposing a new fait accompli at the Mosque are bound to fail.
He hailed the Muslim Ummah for supporting the Al-Aqsa Mosque and defending it against the Israeli desecration reiterating that the Israeli plans to divide the Mosque will be foiled.
Eight Jerusalemite citizens have been killed 632 injured and 47 Jerusalemite activists deported from the Al-Aqsa Mosque since the beginning of 2023.
